Sarah, MA, CCC-SLP/L
Sarah completed her undergraduate degree at Elmhurst College and finished her master’s degree in Communication Disorders at the University of Northern Iowa in 2000. She has a credential in early intervention services. She has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, NICU’s, schools, developmental delay facilities, subacute rehabs and outpatient settings. Sarah has always wanted to open her own practice. She is specialized in working with the NICU population and has a passion to help families’ transition home with their premature infants. She also specializes in feeding, dysphagia, augmentative and alternative communication, articulation disorders and language disorders. Sarah is excited to have the opportunity to help individuals through her own business so she can provide the support and therapy needed for each of her clients in the way they need. Sarah has built a team of therapists with this same goal.
Janna, MA, CCC-SLP/L
Janna comes to Building Blocks Therapy with over 15 years of experience as a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Cincinnati and went on to receive her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Arizona in 1999. She is a credentialed Early Intervention service provider. She has worked in a variety of settings throughout her career including hospitals, clinics, schools and nursing facilities. Janna's first love is working with children, and that has been the focus of her career. Janna's specialty areas include apraxia, articulation disorders and early childhood language disorders.
Kate, MS, CCC-SLP/L
Speech Language Pathologist
Kate is a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist who received her undergraduate and graduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition, she received her Assistive Technology Certificate from the University of Illinois-Chicago. She has 12 years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities. The majority of Kate’s career has been spent most of her career working in an Early Childhood school and private clinic settings. She believes it is important to work both with the children and their families to help the child achieve their goals.
Speech Language Pathology Assistant
Michele holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Columbia College Chicago. She earned her Associate’s Degree as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant from College of DuPage. Her career has included teaching middle school, kindergarten and preschool. She has been working as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant with Building Blocks since 2012, and is passionate about learning everything she can in the field of Communication Disorders. Michele is a credentialed Early Intervention service provider.
Speech Language Pathology Assistant
Erin graduated from The College of DuPage in 2002, with an Associates Degree in Applied Science. She has worked in the school system and private home based settings. Erin specializes in Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Language and articulation disorders. Erin is expanding her interest to include more group and social experiences for individuals with AAC needs. Erin also holds a credential for Early Intervention.
